1. The
Government of Ethiopia has received a Grant from the African
Development Bank in various currencies to finance the cost of Water
supply, Sanitation and Hygiene projects. It is intended that part of
the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments
under the contract for the supply of 24 units of Dewatering Pumps
and 24 units of Portable Generator for Rural Water Supply Program
in the region.
2. The
SNNPR Water Resources Development Bureau now invites sealed bids
from eligible bidders for the supply of:

3. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from SNNPR Water
Resources Development Bureau, Wash Coordination Unit, Hawassa City,
Tel. 046-220 99 74, Fax 046-220 41 82.
4. A
complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by interested
bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and
upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 300.00
5. Bids
shall be valid for 90 days after bid opening. Bids should be
accompanied by bid security of ETB 50,000.00 (Fifty Thousands) or
any convertible currency equivalent to this amount in the form of
CPO or bank guarantee.
6. Bids
must be delivered to the SNNPR Water Resources Development Bureau,
Equipment & Supply service, Room No. 05, Hawassa City, Tel. 046-221
24 69 at or before 2:00 p.m. on December 21, 2009. Electronic
bidding will not permitted. Late bids will be rejected.
7. Bids
will be opened in the presence of bidders/ representatives who
choose to attend in person at 2:30 p.m. on December 21, 2009 at the
Tender Committee Office of the SNNPR Water Resources Development
Bureau, Hawassa City.
8. The
Offer document should be neat, clear, and without any deletion
especially with correction flood. If so automatically rejected.
9. SNNP
Regional Water Resources Development Bureau reserves the right to
reject all or part of the bid.
