SECTION I
NATIONAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING
1. The
College of Telecommunications & Information Technology (CTIT) of the
Ethiopian Telecommunications Corporation (ETC) invites sealed bids
from eligible bidders for the supply of various Stationery Materials
(Office Supplies).
2. Interested
bidders can compete for one or more items covered in the tender
invitation. All bidders are required to submit 1 (One) sample for
each item they wish to compete before or at the time of bid opening.
3. A
complete set of bidding documents can be obtained from the College’s
Purchase & Supply Office during office hours upon payment of a
non-refundable fee of Birr 30 (Thirty Birr Only).
4. Interested
bidders are required to present their trade license renewed for the
fiscal year, Certificate of Supplier Registration by MOFED, ETC, MoI
etc. as may be appropriate and VAT Registration Certificate when
appropriate.
5. All
bids must be accompanied by Bid Security of 2% (Two Percent)
of the total bid amount in the form of Cash, CPO or Bank Guarantee
issued by a recognized bank. Bidders who wish to deposit cash as Bid
Security must deposit to the College’s Finance Office before the bid
opening date and produce the receipt (deposit slip) during the bid
opening. A bid received without Bid Security will be rejected.
6. Sealed
bids Marked: “Tender for the Procurement of Stationary Materials
(Office Supplies) Tender No. CTIT/NCB/01/NOV/2009 and addressed to:-

P.O. Box 27160/1000
Addis Ababa
Ethiopia”
Shall be deposited in the box
prepared for this purpose at the College’s Purchase & Supply Office
in Addis Ababa on or before
December 18, 2009, 2:30p.m. local
time.
Bids received after the closing date
and time will be rejected.
7. The
bids received shall be opened in the presence of interested bidders
or their authorized representative’s on 18 December, 2009 at 3:00
p.m. local time at the College’s
Graduate School Building video conference room.
8. The
College reserves the right to reject all or parts of bids received.
Bids will be evaluated and contract will be awarded on item by item
basis.
9. Bidders
are strongly advised to read and comply with the instruction
provided in the “Instruction to Bidders” in section II of the
Bidding Document.
