The Federal
Democratic Republic of Ethiopia A.A.W.S.A. Water and Sanitation Development and Rehabilitation Project
Office.
1. To
all General Water Works Contractors of category Four and Above
with license valid for the year 2008/2009.
2. The
Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority (AAWSA) Water and
Sanitation Development and Rehabilitation Project Office now invites
sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for furnishing the
necessary labor, material, equipment and services for:
Lot 1: Legetafo and Ayat sites
construction of civil works, laying of pipes from the bore hole to
the reservoir and installation of electromechanical parts.
Lot 2: East Bole sites construction
of civil works, laying of pipes from the bore hole to the reservoir
and installation of electromechanical parts.
3. Interested
eligible bidders may purchase a bidding document upon presentation
of work permit certificate form Ministry of Water Resources, having
renewed trade license for the year 2008/2009 (2001 E.C.) from
Ministry of Trade and Industry, or license Bureaus and VAT and tax
payers registration certificate.
4. The
bid document shall be available from February 2, 2009 on wards
against payment of non-refundable fee of ETH Birr 200.00 (Two
Hundred Birr only) during office hours.
5. All
bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, in the form of Bank
guarantee or CPO 10,000 (Ten Thousand Birr only) or an equivalent
amount in a freely convertible currency and the bid security shall
be counter guaranteed by any Bank in the Purchaser Country and bid
Bond in any other form shall not be acceptable.
6. Bids
must be delivered at the address below at or before 10:00 A.M. local
time on March 4, 2009. Electronic bidding will not be permitted.
Late bid will be rejected.
7. Bids
shall be opened on March 4, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. local time in the presence of the bidders or their representatives.
8. The
A.A.W.S.A. Water and Sanitation Development & Rehabilitation Project
Office reserves the right to reject any or all of the bids.
