Open Tender No. 449/wssf/09 Invitation for Bid (IFB) to under take rehabilitation and optimization project to ensure their reliability of operations with maximum sugar output.

1.     Invitation for Bid (IFB)

1.1.  Wonji/Shoa Sugar Factory (WSSF), Ethiopia, on behalf of the government of Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, intends to undertake rehabilitation and optimization activities on the Wonji and Shoa factories to attain cane cursing capacity of 1650 TCD and 2000 TCD for respectively.

1.2.  WSSF now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders to conduct rehabilitation and optimization tasks on both Wonji and Shoa Sugar Factories there by boost existing combined cane crushing capacity of 3375 TCD to level of 3650 TCD.

1.3.  Bidding will be conducted though competitive bidding procedures specified in the terms of reference and are open to all the eligible bidders.

1.4.  Interested bidders may obtain further information from WSSF at the address given below from 09:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. local time form Monday to Friday.

1.5.  Bidder, who fulfill the above eligibility criteria can purchase the Bid document upon payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 500 in the name of WSSF.

1.6.  The Bidders shall furnish as part of the bid, bid security in an amount of not less than 2% of the bid.

1.7.  Wonji/Shoa Sugar Factory (WSSF) reserves the right to modify the minimum eligibility criteria, if required.

1.8.  Wonji/Shoa Sugar Factory (WSSF) reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.

1.9.  Bid submission

a)      Bids should be submitted on a wax-sealed envelope by registered mail or hand delved using the following address.

Bid will be opened in presence of Bidders or their legal representatives who choose to attend at the same address in Ethiopia. Any bid received after the dead line specified for Submission of bids. Will be rejected and returned un opened to the bidders.
