NCB Title: Procurement of Books for Post Graduate Studies
1. The
Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a credit from
the International Development Association toward the cost of Post
Secondary Education Project, and it intends to apply part of the
proceeds of this credit to payments under the Contract for the
Procurement Books for Post Graduate Studies.
2. The
Ministry of Education now invites sealed bids from eligible and
qualified bidders for books.

Lot 2 Advanced Architecture Design
Lot 3 Cultural Heritage in Architecture &
Development
Lot 4 Urban Settlement Studies.
Lot 5 Electrical & Computer Engineering
Lot 6 Urban & Regional Planning
Lot 7 Civil Engineering
3. Bidding
will be conducted though the National Competitive Bidding (NCB)
procedures specified in the World Ban’s Guidelines: Procurement
under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders form
Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from Ministry of
Education, Procurement & Property Management Department and inspect
the Bidding Documents at the address given below from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. during the working
days.
5. A
complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by
interested bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee ETB 200.00
form Room No.101 during office hours up on presentation of
registration certificate from the Federal Ministry of Finance &
Economic Development, renewed trade license for the year & VAT
Registration certificate.
6. Bids
must be submitted in two separate envelope 1-Technical envelope 2-
Financial envelope each having one original and one copy.
7. All
eligibility certificates cited under No.5 should be found in the
original technical envelope, and be submitted in the tender box on a
closing date.
8. Bid
bond shall be in a separate envelope and submission in the tender
box together with the original technical envelope.
9. Bids
must be delivered to the address below at or before 10:00 A.M. local time on January 28, 2009.
Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be
rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders or
their representatives at the address below at 10:30 A.M. local time January 28, 2009. All
bids must be accompanied by a bid security of ETB 10,000.00.
