Invitation To Re-Bid for the
Construction of Yarde
Bridge at Gewane Woreda on Awash River
1. The
Afar National Regional State Rural Roads Authority has funds within
the Employer’s budget to be used for the procurement of construction
of Yarde Bridge on Awash
River.
2. The
Afar National Regional State Rural Roads Authority invites sealed
bids from eligible bidders for the provision of the Construction of
Yarde Bridge on Awash River, within 360 Calendar days from Commencement of works.
3. Bidding
will be conducted in accordance with the open national tendering
procedures contained in the Public Procurement Proclamation of the
Federal Government of Ethiopia and is open to all bidders from
Ethiopia, Category GC-4/RC-4 & above including BC 4 & above who have
experienced in Bridge of Road Construction with license valid for
the year 2001 E.C.
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from Afar National
Regional State Rural Roads Authority and inspect the bidding
documents at the address given below at 7(a) from 8:00-12:30 A.M. &
3:30-6:00 P.M.
5. A
compete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by
interested bidders at the address below at 7(b) and upon payment of
a non-refundable fee of Ethiopian birr 300.00 (Birr Three Hundred)
and submission of Registration Certificate for Category GC-4/RC-4,
BC4 & above, Renewed Business License for 2001 E.C. VAT
Registration, Tax Payer Registration and Tax Clearance Certificates.
The method of payment will be in cash. The document will be sent by
hand in delivery. No liability will be accepted for loss or late
delivery.
6. Bids
must be delivered to the address below at 7(c) at or before 11
February, 2009 at 9:30 A.M. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of Ethiopian Birr
100,000.00 (One Hundred Thousand Birr). The Bid Security shall be
payable on demand to the Afar National Regional Sate Rural Roads
Authority, and must be irrevocable letter of credit, or
Unconditional Bank Guarantee or a Certified Payment Order (CPO) at
the Bidders option. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened
in the presence of the bidders/representatives who choose to attend
at the address below at 7(d) on
11 February 2009 at 10:00 A.M.
