Urban Local Government Development Project
For
The Supply of the 50 Solid Waste Containers
1. This
invention for bids follows the general procurement notice for this
project that appeared in Development Business: Dated June 13,2008
2. The
Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a credit from
the international Development Association (IDA) apply part of the
proceeds of this credit to payments under contract for the supply of
the solid waste containers for which this invitation for bid is
issued.
3.
The Bishoftu City Administration now invites sealed bids from
eligible bidders for the supply of the solid waste containers.
4. Bidding
will be conducted through the national competitive bidding (NCB)
procedures specified in the world bank’s guidelines: procurement
under IDA credits, and is opened t to all bidders from eligible
source countries as defined in the guidelines.
5. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from Bishotu City
Administration , Land provision and Construction Administration
Department (ULGDPA Coordinators) or City Manager Office, Tel:
+251114338033/86Fax:+ 251114338209 Bishotu, Ethiopia, Monday to Friday
during office hours.
6. Qualification
requirements include technical, financial legal and other
requirements. A margin of preference for certain goods manufactured
domestically shall not be applied .Additional details are provided
in the bidding documents.
7. A
complete set of bidding documents in English language may be
purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written
application to the address above and upon payment of a nonrefundable
fee of 150 ETH Birr (One Hundred Fifty Ethiopian Birr).
8. Bids
must be delivered to the address below not later than February
24,2009 at 2:00 P.M. (afternoon) and must be accompanied by a bid security of not less than
1% of the total bid value Electronic bidding will not be permitted.
Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened on the presence of
the bidders/ Representative who chooses to attend in person at the
Bishoftu City Administration compound.
