Construction of De-manufacturing Works of Ethiopian
Computer Refurbishment
And Training Center at Akaki Kality Kifle Ketema
1. The
Ethiopian government has received a credit from the National
Development Association towards the cost of Information and
Communication Technology Assisted Development (ICTAD) Project, and
it intends to apply part of the proceeds of the credit to payment
under the contract for construction of De-manufacturing work of
Ethiopian Computer Refurbishment and Training Center (ERTC) at Akaki
Kality Kifle Ketema.
2. The
Ethiopian Information and Communications Technology Development
Agency (EICTDA), ICT Assisted Development (ICTAD) Project now
invites all Contractors of category GC/BC 5 and above for the work.
3. Bidding
will be conducted though National Competitive Bidding (NCB)
procedures specified in the World Bank Guidelines: Procurement Under
IBRD Loans and IDA Credits and is open to all bidders from eligible
source counties as defined in the guide lines.
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from Ethiopian
Information Communications Technology Development Agency,
Information and Communication Technology Assisted Development (ICTAD)
Project Office located at Dembel City Center building 11th
floor, Addis Ababa and inspect the bidding document at the address
given below from 8:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. and 1:30 P.M. to 5:30
Monday to Friday.
5. A
compete set of bidding document in English language may be purchased
up on submission of written application to the ICTAD Project office,
including copy of renewed license for the year, VAT and TAX payer’s
registration certificate, registration certificate, registration
certificate for the construction work from the concerned Government
Bureau and up on payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 150 (One
Hundred Fifty Birr only) in cash.
6. All
bidders are required to submit wax-sealed bids (One original and two
copies) accompanied by a bid security of Birr 42,500.00 (Forty Two
Thousand Five Hundred) in cash, certified cheque, or insurance bond
and which remain valid for 90 days from the bid opening.
7. Bids
must be submitted to the address below at or before 3:00 P.M.
February 9, 2009. Electronic bidding will not permitted. Late bid
will be rejected.
8. Bids
will be opened on 4:00 P.M. February 9, 2009 in the presence of the
bidders/representatives who choose to attend in person at the
address below.
9. EICTDA-ICTAD
reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
