1.
The Amhara National Regional State Education Bureau invites
all eligible bidders to submit sealed bids for the supply or
procurement of Laboratory chemicals, equipment & Education materials
for 168 preparatory & general secondary schools in 8 packages
indicated here under.
Package
One: Physics equipment
Package Two: Chemistry equipment
Package Three: Biology equipment
Package Four: Chemicals for chemistry & biology
Package Five: General apparatus (Geography,
Mathematics & different tools)
Package Six: Charts, Graphs, Maps, Photographs,
Globes & other education materials
Package Seven: Physical education materials
Package Eight: Duplicating machines, Type writers &
consumables
2. Bidders
should provide copies of relevant and valid trade license for the
year 2001 E.C. VAT and TAX payer’s registration certificate and
evidence indicating that the bidder has performance tax paying
obligations from Federal or Regional Inland Revenue.
3. Bidding
documents may be purchased on submission of a written application up
on payment a non-refundable fee of Birr 100.00 (One Hundred Birr) to
Education Bureau in cash.
4. Bidding
will be conducted though National Competitive bidding procedure and
is open to all bidders. Bid evaluation & award of contracts shall be
on package or for all. The delivery places or sites are Debremarkos,
Debreberhan, Dessie & Gondar Educational Materials Distribution
Centers.
5. Bid
shall be valid for a period of 90 calendar days after bid opening &
must be accompanied by a bid security of 1% of the total bid price
if the total bid price is more than Five Million Birr, in the form
of certified cheque, PCO, or unconditional bank guarantee. And must
be delivered with the bid document together with copies of documents
indicated on number 2 above to the address given below on or before
2:00 P.M. 26 January 2009.
6. The
bid shall be opened in the presence of bidders or their
representatives who choose to attend at 2:30 P.M. 26 January 2009 at
the Conference Room of Amhara National Regional State Education
Bureau. Late bids will be rejected.
7. The
Amhara National Regional State Education Bureau reserves the right
to accept or reject any or all bids.
