Description

TO: ALL CONTRACTORS OF CATEGORY GC/BC CLASS 5 AND ABOVE WITH VALID LICENSE FOR THE CURRENT YEAR.

1.     The Upper Awash Agro Industry Enterprise has funds within the Employer’s budget to be used for the procurement of Store Building at, Akaki Kality Sub City, Addis Ababa.

2.      Upper Awash Agro Industry Enterprise invites sealed bids from eligible bidders of GB/BC class 5 and above.

3.      Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open national tendering procedures contained in the Public Procurement Proclamation of the Federal Government of Ethiopia and is open to all eligible bidders.

4.      Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Construction Design Share Company and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below –at 7(a) from 9:00 A.M. to 16:30 P.M. local time.

5.      A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased as of Tir/4/2001 E.C. by interested eligible bidders on submission of a WRITTEN APPLICATION, VAT REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE, MINISTRY OF WORKS AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE, TRADE LICENSE & BID PARTICIPATION SUPPORTING LETTER at the address below at 7(b) and upon payment of non-refundable fee of 566 Birr.

6.      Bids must be delivered to the address below at 7(c) or before 10:00 A.M. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security 50,000.00 Birr payable at first demand. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders/representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 7(d) 10:15 A.M. Yekatit /3/2001 E.C.

7.      a. Documents can be inspected at: Construction Design Share Company, Business Unit II Block No.4 office No.15 (Telephone 011 440 33 74 Or 011 442 08 00 Ext. 225, 112)

b.      Documents can be purchased at Construction Design Share Company, Business Unit II Block No 4 Office No. 14

c.      Bids must be delivered to: Construction Design Share Company, 3^rd Floor Tender Hall 10:00 AM Yekatit/3/2001 E.C.

d.      Address of Bid Opening: Construction Design Share Company 3^rd Floor Tender Hall, 10:15 AM Yekatit /3/2001 E.C.

e.      The bidder shall seal the Original, Bid security and all copies of the bid in five inner envelopes i.e. (Technical proposal, Financial Offer and Bid security) and one outer envelope. Duly marking the inner envelopes as “ORIGINAL” and “COPIES” both for the “The Technical proposal” and “Financial Offer”. Copy documents should be photocopy of the original bid document.

f.       The employer has the right to reject any or all bids.

Partial rebate, like fixed sum and rebate on some items is not acceptable.
