Section I, Invitation for Bids
1. Oromia
Health Bureau obtained a budget from the Regional Government of
Oromia and would like to procure Medical Equipment and Non Medical
Equipments for Health Institutions towards the cost of Health Sector
Development Program (HSDP). It is intended that part of the Proceeds
of this budget will be applied to eligible payments under the
contract for the procurement of Medical Equipment and Non-Medical
Equipments in Local Competitive Bid.
2. The
Oromia Regional State Health Bureau now invites sealed bids from
eligible bidders for the supply of Medical Equipment and Non-Medical
Equipments under different lots.
3. Bidders
have the Option to bid for anyone or more type(s) of item(s). bids
will be evaluated and contract(s) will be awarded for each item
taking into account discounts offered, if any, for combined items in
determining the least evaluated bid of all items which will be the
bases for award of the contract(s).
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the
bidding documents at the office of Procurement Service, Oromia
Health Bureau Room No. 39 P.O. Box 24341, Kirkos Kifle Ketema 19/34
around Urael Church, Tel. 011-553 01 71, 011-551 08 08 Ext. 228, Fax
011-553 36 29, Addis Ababa (Finfinnee), Ethiopia.
5. A
complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested
bidders on submission of a written application to the above
mentioned office and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr
200.00 (Birr Two Hundred only). And Bidders should have renewed
trade license for 2009 (2001). Suppliers list registration
certificate from Ministry Finance & Economic Development (MOFED),
Value Added Tax & Tax Payer Registration Certificate while
purchasing this tender document.
6. Bids
must be delivered to office of Administration & Finance Department
on or before 3:00 P.M in the afternoon on 18/10/2001 E.C. and must
be accompanied by a security of not less than 1% of the Bid amount
in the form of CPO or Unconditional Bank Guarantee from a reputable
bank.
7. Bids
will be opened in the presence of bidders’ or their representatives
who choose to attend at 3:30 P.M in the afternoon on 18/10/2001 E.C at office of Administration and Finance Department, Oromia Health
Bureau, Room No. 13 Kirkos Kifle Ketema Kebele 19/34, around Urael
Church, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
8. The
Bureau reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
