FOR SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF
SOLAR HOME SYSTEMS Reference
(Credit No. 3712.ET)
1. The
Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a credit from
the International Development Association toward the cost of Energy
Access Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this
credit to payments under the contract for procurement of supply and
installation of Solar Home Systems.
2. The
Rural Electrification Executive Secretariat now invites sealed bids
from eligible and qualified bidders for procurement of:
Solar Home System for following three
lots:
Lot 1: Abdi Boru electric service
Cooperatives at Bali Abo rural Kebele in Oromia National Regional

3. Suppliers
must attach VAT registration certificate with their offer
4. A
complete set of bidding document in English may be purchased by
interested bidder on the submission of a written application to the
address below upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ETB 100.00
(Hundred Ethiopian Birr) (Monday-Friday)
8:30 A.M to 12:00 A.M and 1:30
P.M to 5:00 P.M starting from the first day of announcement through
The Ethiopian Herald . Payment can be done in cash at the address
below or through certified cheque on the name of the Rural
Electrification Fund.
5. Bids
must be delivered to the address below at or before 3:00 P.M, 03
July 2009. Electronic bidding is not allowed. Lat bids will be
rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders/
representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below
at 3:30 P.M local time on 03 July 2009. All bids must be accompanied
by a Bid security not less than 2% of the bid price.
