Supply of Geophysical Instruments with Accessories
1. This
Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this
Project that appeared in Development Business, November 22, 2004.
2. The
Government of Ethiopia has received a credit toward the cost of
Water Supply and Sanitation Project, and it intends to apply part of
the proceeds of this credit to payments under the Contract for
Supply of Geography Instruments, NCB ORWRB/RCE/001/2009.
3. The
Oromia Regional Water Resources Bureau now invites sealed bids from
eligible and qualified bidders for Supply of Geophysical
Instruments.

4. Bidding
will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) a
procedure specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement
under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from
Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.
5. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from Oromia Region
Water Resources Bureau, WaSH Program Support Staff, Room No. 403,
Finfinnee/ Addis Ababa/ and inspect the Bidding Documents at this
address from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m and from 1:30 p.m to 5:30 p.m.
Monday to Friday.
6. Qualifications
requirements include:
For the Bidders
Bidder should have the experience on
supplying at list two contracts similar size in the last five years,
supported with names of clients, type and value of contracts.
7. A
complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by
interested bidders on the submission of a written Application and
copies of necessary renewed licenses with originals at the address
given below, upon payment of ETB 300.00 non-refundable fees. The
method of payment will be in cash.
8.
Bids must be delivered to the Oromia Regional Water Resources
Bureau, Program Support Office, Bole Road, 4th floor, Room No. 403,
Finfinnee, (Addis Ababa) at or before July 27, 2009 02:00 p.m Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.
9. Bids
will be opened in the presence of the bidders/representatives who
choose to attend in person at 02:30 p.m on July 27, 2009 at Oromia
Regional Water Resources Bureau 3rd floor Conference Hall. Bids
shall be valid for a period of Ninety (90) days after Bid opening
and must be accompanied by bid security of Bank Guarantee or CPO not
less than 2% of the total bid price in Ethiopia.
