Description

To: ALL CONTRACTORS CATEGORY OF GC/BC 3 AND ABOVE WITH VALID LICENSE FOR THE CURRENT YEAR

1.       Jimma University has funds within the Employer’s budget to be used for the procurement of Water Supply System and Water Reservoir Constructions.

2.      Jimma University invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of procurement of Water Supply System and Water Reservoir Constructions.

3.      Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open national tendering procedures contained in the Public Proclamation of the Federal Government of Ethiopia and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

4.      Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Construction Design Share Company and inspect the bidding documents at eh address given below at 7(a) from 8:30 A.M to 4:30 P.M.

5.      A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased as of Sene 3, 2001 E.C by interested eligible bidders on submission of a written application, VAT registration certificate, Registration certificate from Ministry of Works & Urban Development, Trade license & Tax clearance Certificate at the address below 7(b) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 820.

6.      Bids must be delivered to the address below 7(c) on or before 12:00 AM Sene 224, 2001 E.C All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of Birr 100,000 payable at first demand and addressed to the employer. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders/representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 7(d) at 2:00 P.M on Sene 24, 2001.

7.      A bidder has to participate for one project only (either for water supply system or water Reservoir Constructions.)

8.      (a). Documents may be inspected at: Construction Design Share Company Water Works     Business Unit (Tel. 011-440 06 14 Or 011-442 08 00 Ext. 261).

(b). Documents may be purchased at Construction Design Share Co., Water Works   Business Unit at working hours.

(c). Bids must be delivered to: Construction Design Share Company 3^rd Floor, Tendering room, Room No. 128 at or before 12:00 A.M on Sene 24, 2001

(d). Address of Bid Opening: Construction Design Sh. Co. 3^rd floor, Tendering Room No. 128 at 2:00 P.M on Sene 24, 2001.

9.      The employer reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
