Urban Local Government Development
Project
The Government
of Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a credit
from the international Development Association (IDA) in the amount
of U$ 150 million equivalent towards the cost of the Urban Local
Government Development project (ULGDP).
The specific
development objective of ULGDP is to support improved performance in
the planning delivery and sustained provision of priority municipal
services and infrastructure by Urban Local Developments. Under
component 1 of the ULGDP, the City Administration of Gondar intends
to carry out a project on construction of 4, 3357.71m of covered
Masonry Drainage and 2,803.69 m of Gravel road.
The City
Administration invites eligible bidders for the construction of
4,335.71m Masonry Drainage having 2lots: Lot 1 2,373.84m and
Lot 2 1,961.87m and 2,803.69m of
Gravel road and bidders should be registered as the contractors and
VAT with the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development. A
complete set of bidding document and detail information abut the
Drainage and Roads sites can be obtained from the City
Administration Finance and Economic Development Office during office
hours upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 200(Birr two
Hundred only) for each lot and Gravel Road starting from the
announcement date with The Ethiopian Herald Newspaper. Bidders at
the level of GC-5/BC-5and above are invited for drainage
construction and GC-5/RC-5 and above are invited for Gravel Road
construction and are also re-quirked to submit the copies of submit
the copies of their renewed construction license to the office where
they will collect bid document.
Bidders shall
furnish as part of their bid, a bid bond in amount of Birr
20,000(Birr Twenty Thousand ) for each lot and Gravel Road. The bid
bond must be only in CPO (Cash payment Order) from a recognized
bank. Bidders should submit their offers in wax-sealed envelope both
original and copy clearly marked in box to the City Administration
Finance and Economic Development Office on 2:00 P>M. on the end of
30 calendar days. Bid documents will be opened in the presence of
bidders or their representatives at 2:30P.M on the last date of
announcement at Gondar City Administration Finance and Economic
Development Office. The City Administration reserves the right to
accept or reject all or part of the bid.
Bidders shall be
valid for a period of 90 days after a bid opened.
