Invitation for Bids (IFB)
IFB Title: Procurement melamine compartment trys,
Kettle and dish washer

1.
This invitation for Bid follows the standard format of IFB
for the procurement of serving dish, kettle & dish washer including
its installation, testing & commissioning as stipulated in the
Federal Ministry of Finance and Economic Development procurement
Directive.
2.
The procuring entity, Addis Ababa University has a budget for
the cost of procuring serving dish kettle and dish washer including
installation testing and commissioning at lowest evaluated bid
prices.
3.
The university now invites sealed bids. Those bidders who
submit their bidding document have to indicate their unconditional
discount form market price for line items in the respective
statement of requirement.
4.
Bidding will be conducted through the international
Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures provided in public procurement
proclamation of Goods of Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia,
and are open to all eligible bidders.
5.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information
from Foreign purchasing Division Room No. 34 of the Bidding
Documents at the address given below from 8:00 A.M.-5:00P.M during
working days.
6.
A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be
purchased by interested bidders accompanied by a written application
to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee 100
Birr. Payment can be done in cash at the university cash service or
may send cashiers cheque in equivalent amount. The cheque amount
shall include the postage or courier charge for sending the tender
documents to bidders. The Bidding Documents will be collected
directly from the specified address below or delivered by the
special courier (postal) Liability will not accepted for loss or
late delivery.
7.
Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 2:00
P.M May 8, 2009 Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.
Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders representatives,
who choose to attend in person at the address below at
2:30 P.M May 8, 2009 All bids must be
accompanied by a Bid Security of 15,000.00 Birr.
