contractors of category GC/BC, class 4 and above with license valid
for the year 2001 E.C. and can present registration certificate for
construction work service from concerned organization.
1. The
Gondar College of teachers Education
has invited wax-sealed bids comprising of a Technical and Financial
proposal from eligible bidders for providing the necessary labor,
material and equipment for the construction and completion of G+4
Apartment buildings At Gondar College of Teacher’s Education.
2. Both
eth pre-qualification (Technical) and priced (Financial) bid
documents may be obtained by any interested eligible bidders on the
submission of a written application with renewed license and
certificates as stated in (11-1) below to:

3. Each
bid must be accompanied by an acceptable bid bond in the form of CPO
equal to 2% of the bid amount, which shall remain in forces for 90
calendar days from the bid opening date and shall be in separate
envelope. The successful bidder for will be required to furnish a
performance bond in the sum of 10% of the gross bid sum with in 15
days from signature.
4. Bidders
are advised to read and comply in full with the “INSTRUCTION TO
BIDDERS”
5. The
construction of works shall be completed with in a maximum of 600
calendar days from eth commencement of works.
6. All
bids must be submitted based on the free market pries and current
basic materials price must be attached with the bid document.
However, price escalation shall not be Considered in this contract.
Acquiring all construction materials in due time is the contractor’s
full responsibility.
7. Both
the pre-qualification and priced bid documents shall be in separate
envelopes & wax-sealed (one original & one copy).
8. The
weights given to the technical, financial & advance payment
conditions are:
Technical 60%
Financial 38%
Advance payment conditions 2%
9. Sealed
pre-qualification & priced bid documents shall be submitted to the
Gondar College of Teachers Education Room No.2 on or before the 21st
calendar day beginning from the first date of first advertisement at
12:00 A.M. If the 20th day is not a working day the
submission date will be the next working day at 12:00 A.M. and shall
be publicly opened the same days and place at 2:00 P.M. hours when
the names of the bidders and their offer will be declared. Bidders
are advised to attend the opening of bids.

11. Rejection
Criteria: The employer will reject the bidder whose bid doesn’t
fulfill the following condition.
I. Bidders
should present in the technical document currently renewed trade
license and renewed registration Certificate of the supplier list,
VAT registration certificate, Tax payer registration certificate &
the certificates witnessing that the bidder has performed tax paying
obligation from federal or regional inland revenues.
II. Bidders
should submit one original and one copy for both Technical and
financial document one original separately in sealed envelope.
III. The
original and copy of the bid shall be singed and sealed on all pages
by the bidder.
IV. Bid
bond in the required form and amount.
12. The
Gondar College of Teachers Education reserves the right to reject
any or all bids.
