To: ALL CONTRACTORS OF CATEGORY GC/BC CLASS 1 WITH VALID LICENSE FOR THE CURRENT YEAR.

1.       The Jimma University has funds within the Employer’s budget to be used for the procurement for Kitto furdisa dormitory at Jimma.

2.       Jimma University invites sealed bids from eligible bidders of GC/BC class1.

3.       Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open national with the open national tendering procedures contained in the public procurement proclamation of the Federal Government of Ethiopia and is open to all eligible bidders.

4.       Interested eligible bidder may obtain further information form Construction Design Share Company and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at 7(a) from 9:00 A.M to 16:30P.M local time.

5.       A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased as of Yekatit 26/2001E.C by interested eligible bidders on submission of a WRITTEN APPLICATION, VAT REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE, MINISTRY OF WORKS AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE, TRADE LICENSE & BID PARTICIPATION SUPPORTING LETTER  at the address below at 7( b) And upon payment of non refundable Fee of see tender document.

6.      Bids must be delivered to the address below at 7( c) or before 10:00A.M All bids must be accompanied by a bid security 100,000.00 Birr payable at first demand. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders/reprehensive who choose the attend at the address below at 7(d)10:30 A.M Megabit 25/2001 E.C

The bidder shall seal the Original, Bid security and all copies of the bid in five inner envelopes i.e. (Technical proposal, Financial Offer and Bid security) and one outer envelopes, duly marking the inner envelopes as “ORIGINAL” and “COPIES” both for the “The Technical proposal” and “Financial” Offer” Copy documents should be photo copy of the original bid document.

f. The employer has the right to reject any or all bids.

    Partial rebate, like fixed sum and rebate on some items is not acceptable.

Bidders who undertook contractors in phase III of the higher education projects must produce good (quality & timing) performance letter from Ministry of Education.
