RE-INVITATION TO BID
To: All
contractors of category class GC/BC 4 and above with license valid
for this year.
1. The
Jimma University invites wax-sealed
bids from eligible bidders for the construction and completion of
Retaining wall at different places inside of the main campus with
the Government capital budget, to all bidders from eligible source.
2. Site
visit will be advisable and carried out by bidders before submitting
their bids.
3.
A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by any
interested eligible bidder on the submission of a written
application to Jimma University Procurement Main Division Office or
from Ministry of Education, Jimma University Liaison Office in Addis
Ababa upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 100 (One
Hundred).
4. Bidders
shall have to render currently renewed construction License,
registration certificate from the Ministry of Infrastructure
Development or from the appropriate Government organization and VAT
certificate together with evidence from the Tax Authority for that
obligation of paying tax is fulfilled.
5. Bids
shall be submitted in two separate envelopes:
- Technical
proposal envelope.
- Financial
proposal envelope each having one “Original” one “Copy”.
6. Bid
bond and all eligibility /registration/ certificates should be found
in the original technical envelope.
7. All
bids must be accompanied by bid security in the amount of Birr
30,000.00 (Thirty Thousand) furnished by certified cheque (C.P.O)
issued by a recognized Domestic Bank so as to reach it on or before
March 17, 2009 at 10:00 AM. Local time.
8. Bids
reply shall be put into the tender box prepared for this purpose at
the Jimma University Main Campus Purchasing Main Division Office at
Jimma town on or before March 17, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. local time. Bids received after the closing time will be automatically
rejected.
9. Bids
will be opened in the presence of interested bidders or their
representatives on the same date March 17, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. local
time in the Jimma University Senate Hall.
10. The
Employer reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
Bidders may
obtain further technical information from and inspect the bidding
documents at Engineering and General Service Department.
