1. The
Invitation for bids follows the standard format of IFB for the
procurement of Lot 1 Audiovisual equipment, and Lot II Network
installation materials, Computers and related equipment as
stipulated in the Federal Ministry of Finance and Economic
Development’s procurement directive.
2. The
procuring Entity, Faculty of Journalism and Communication, Addis
Ababa University, has funds to be used for the procurement of
audiovisual equipment, network materials, computers and related
equipment.
3. The
Faculty of Journalism and Communication, Addis Ababa University, now
invites sealed bids. Those bidders who submit their biding documents
should submit one sealed bid indicating quoted price for all items
in the respective statement of requirement.
4. Bidding
will be conducted though the National Competitive Bidding (NCB)
procedures provided in the Public Procurement Proclamation of the
Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and are
open to all bidders from eligible source counties.
5. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from Faculty of
Journalism and Communication, Addis Ababa University of the bidding
documents at the address given below at 7(a) during working hours
from Monday to Friday.
6. A
compete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by
interested bidders at the address below at 7(b) and upon payment of
a non-refundable fee of Ethiopian Birr 100.00 The method of payment
will be cash.
7. Bids
must be delivered to the address below at or before 2:00 P.M. from
Friday 6 March 2009 to Wednesday 25 March 2009. All bids must be
accompanied by a bid security of for Lot I Ethiopian Birr 5,000.00
for Lot II Ethiopian Birr 10,000.00. Method of payment shall be in
certified check or bank guarantee. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids
will be opened in the Conference Hall, Abune Petros Campus, Faculty
of Journalism and Communication, AAU, in the presence of
bidders/bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address
below at 2:30 P.M. on the day of the closure of this bid, that is,
Wednesday 25 March 2009.
