1. Hawassa
University intended to purchase Books, Journals and Magazines for
which this invitation for bids is issued Under this tender must
confirm international standards & norms.
2. The
bidders have to present registration certificate from the Federal
Ministry of Finance and Economic development renewed trade License
for the year, Clearance Letter and VAT registration certificate as
indicated in the tender documents.
3. Eligible
bidders are required to submit a Technical and Financial proposals.
4. Detail
information will be found in the bidding documents, which are
obtainable during working hours from ministry of Education office
No. 352, Hawassa University liaison office up on payment of a
nonrefundable amount of ETB 50.00(Fifty Ethiopia Birr) or an
equivalent amount.
5. Bid
must be accompanied by a bid bond amount ETB 60.000 (Sixty Thousands
Et6hiopian Birr) or an equivalent amount in the form of irrevocable
letter of credit, bank guarantee or Certified payment of Order
(C.P.O) OR Cheque established through any commercial bank in
Ethiopia for the bids and addressed to Hawassa University, P ,O box
05 Tel. 25-462209677/78/2204931.
6. Bidders
are instructed to submit one original Technical & Financial proposal
and copy of the original document with financial and to be sealed
under separate envelope.
7. Bidders
may obtain further information from procurement and property
Management Department.
8. Bid
should be submitted in wax-sealed envelope up to 13, April 2009 at
2:30 P.M local time at Hawassa University tender committee office
located at president Office.
9. For
bids received by the said dead line Technical proposal will be
publicly opens in the4 presence of bidders or their legal
representatives who are interested to attend at 2:30 P.M. on the
same date(13April 2009) at tender committee of office.
10. The
Financial proposal of bidders who pass the qualification criteria
shall be opened, in the presence of the bidders who wish to attend,
after 5 days of the technical bid opening date or disclosed by a
letter.
11. Bids
received after the tender box has been sealed will be rejected and
returned unopened.
12. The
Hawassa University reserves the right to accept or reject any or all
bids.
