Description

International Competitive Bidding

1.      The Ethiopian Sugar Development Agency (ESDA) invites sealed bids from interested eligible International Bidders for the supply of 70,000MT White Gane Sugar for July 2009 shipment.

2.      A complete set of bidding documents in English Language may be purchased by interested bidders at the address below form the first date of this announcement, during office hours, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 100.

3.      Local agents are required to submit copy of valid trade license and VAT Registration Certificate to collect the bidding document on behalf of the principal bidders.

4.      Bids must be accompanied by bid security amounting USD 100,000 or equivalent in Ethiopia Birr at the prevailing  exchange rate in the form of CPO or Bank Guarantee from Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, which will be payable on first demand by ESDA.

5.      Sealed bids should be submitted latest by 10.00 A.M. local time on 20^th June 2009 to the address below.

6.      The bids shall be opened in the presence of the bidders/representatives who choose to attend at the conference hall of ESDA, Mexico Square, Philips Building, 4^th Floor, Room No.408 at 10:30 A.M. local time on 20^th June 2009.

7.      ESDA reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or cancel the tender without giving reasons thereof.
