Invitation to Bid for the Construction of
Metehara-Kessem Truck Road Project
1. The
Metehara Sugar Factory has funds within the Employer’s budget to be
used for the procurement of Construction of Metehara-Kessem Truck
Road Project.
2. The
Metehara Sugar Factory invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for
the provision of the construction of Metehara-Kessem Truck Road
Project within 330 calendar days from commencement of works.
3. Bidding
will be conducted in accordance with the open national tendering
procedures contained in the Public Procurement Proclamation of the
Federal Government of Ethiopia and is open to all bidders form
Ethiopia, Category GC-1 or RC-1 with license valid for the year 2001
E.C.
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from Transport
Construction Design Share Company and inspect the bidding documents
at the address below at 7(a) from 8:30 A.M.-12:30 P.M. & 1:30 -5:30
P.M.
5. A
complete set of Bidding Document may be purchased by interested
bidders on written application at the address shown on 7(b) below
and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ethiopian Birr 500.00
(Birr Five Hundred) and submission of Registration Certificate for
GC-1 or RC-1 valid for the year 2001 E.C, Renewed Business license
for 2001 E.C. VAT registration, Tax payer registration and Valid Tax
clearance certificates. The method of payment will be in cash. The
document will be sent by hand delivery. No liability will be
accepted for loss or late delivery.
6. Bids
must be delivered to the address below at 7(c) at or before June 15,
2009 G.C, 10:00 A.M. All Bids must be accompanied by a bid security of Ethiopian Birr
100,000.00 (Birr One Hundred Thousand). The bid security shall be
payable on demand to the Metehara Sugar Factory, and must be
irrevocable letter of credit, or unconditional Bank Guarantee or a
certified payment order (CPO) at the Bidders option. Late bids shall
be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the
bidders/representatives who choose to attend at the address below at
7(d) at June 15, 2009 G.C. 10:30 A.M.
