Invitation To Bid for the
Construction & Maintenance of
Different Drainage Structure at Different Own force
Rural Road Projects, Procurement
1. The
Afar National Regional State Rural Roads Authority has funds within
the Employer’s budget to be used for the procmement of construction
of different Drainage Structures at Different Own force Rural Road
Projects.
2. The
Afar National Regional State Rural Roads Authority invites sealed
bids from Eligible Bidders for the Constriction of Borkena
Pedestrians Bridge Near Dalifagie Town on Borkena River, Atsbi
Drainage Structures at Atsbi –Koneba Own Force Rural Road
Construction Project & Berhaile Slab Culvert Periodic Maintenance
at Desa –Berhaile Own Force Maintenance Projects within 200, 150,100
Calendar days Respectively from Commencement of works.
3. Bidding
will be conducted in accordance with the open national tendering
procedures contained in the Public Procurement Proclamation of the
federal Government of Ethiopia and is open to all bidders from
Ethiopia,
1. For
Borkena Pedestrians Bridge, Contractors of Category GC-6/RC-6 &
above, with license valid for the year 2001 E.C.
2. For
Atsbi Slab Culverts, Contractors of Category GC-7/RC-7 and above,
including BC-6 & above who have experienced in Bridge and /or Road
Construction.
3.
For Atsbi Slab Fords & Pipe Culverts & Barhaile Slab Culvert
Maintenance, Category GC-7/RC-7 & above, including BC-6 & above who
have experienced in Bridge and/or Road Construction; license valid
for the year 2001 E.C.
4. A
complete set of Each Bidding Documents in English may be purchased
by interested bidders at the address below at 6(c) and up on payment
of a non-refundable fee of Ethiopian Birr 50.00 (Birr Fifty) and
submission of Registration Certificate for the above Mentioned
Category, Renewed Business License for 2001 E.C. VAT Registration,
Tax Payer Registration and Tax Clearance Certificates. The method of
payment will be in cash. The document will be sent by hand in
delivery. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.
5. Bids
must be delivered to the address below at 6(c) at Or before
25/05/2009 at 9:30 A.M. All Bids must be
accompanied by a Bid Security of Ethiopian birr 1% (One percent) of
the Bidding Amount. The Bid Security shall be payable on demand to
the Afar National Regional State Rural Roads Authority, and should
be irrevocable letter of credit, Insurance, Unconditional Bank
Guarantee or a Certified payment Order (CPO) at the Bidder’s option.
Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of
the bidders / representatives who choose to attend at the address
below at 6(d) on 25/5/2009 at 10:00 A.M
