RE-Invitation for Bid (IFB)

1. This
invitation for bid follows the general procurement notice for this
project that appeared in, Development business; issue WB2837-732/08
on July 16, 2008.
2. The
Harari People National Regional State
has received a credit from the International Development Association
(IDA) towards the cost of urban local government development
project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit
to payments under contract for the procurement of Market Shade area
development,
3. The
Harari People National Regional State
Harar Municipality invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders GC/BC 6
and above with license valid for the year bidders for the provision
of Market Shade area development.
4. Bidding
will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB)
procedures specified in the World Bank guide line
5. Interested
eligible bidder may obtain further information from The Harari
People National regional State Harar Municipality and inspect
the bidding documents at the address given below at Harar
Municipality ULGDP Coordinating Office; P.O.Box 46, Tel. 0256660018 or
0256660002, Fax 0256663707, E-mail Harar_munic@ethionet. et.
Harar, Ethiopia, Monday to Friday during Office hours (8:30 A.M –
12:00 P.M -5:00 P.M local time).
6. A
complete set of Bidding Documents English may be purchased by
interested bidders on submission of written application at the
address above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ethiopian
Birr 200. The method of payment will be in the form of cash-Starting
from May 25,2009.
7. Bids
must be delivered to the address below on or before on Monday June
22,2009 at 3:00 A.M local time and must be accompanied by a bid
security of 50,000 Birr in the form of CPO with separate sealed
envelope. Late bids shall be rejected.
8. Bids
will be opened in the presence of the bidders/ representative who
choose to attend at the address below on Monday June 22,2009 at 3:30
A.M local time.
9. The
ULGDP coordinating office of the Harar Municipality has the right to
reject any or all bids.
