Re-Invitation for Bids (RIFB)
1. This
Invitation for Bid follows the General Procurement Notice for this
project that appeared in the United Nations Development Business,
issued No. WB 2837-732/08 on July 16, 2008.
2. The
Office of Dessie City Service has funds within the Employer’s budget
to be used for the procurement of construction and completion of
Segno Gebeya to Gerado Open Masonry Drain Project on a completion
period of 120 days.
3. The
Office of Dessie City Service invites sealed bids from eligible
bidders for the provision of the necessary labor, material,
equipment, and services for the construction and completion of Segno
Gebeya to Gerado Open Masonry Drain. Deomestic Contractors of
Category GC-4, BC-4 & WC-4 and above with valid license for the year
2001 E.C are eligble to participate in the bid.
4. Bidding
will be conducted in accordance with the open national tendering
procedures contained in the Public Procurement Proclamation of the
Federal Government of Ethiopia and is open to all bidders from
eligible source countries.
5. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from Office of
Dessie City Service; Tel. 033 111 61 21/23, Mobile: 0913 36 60 91,
Room No.5 and inspect the bidding documents at the address given
below at 8 from 9:00-12:00 A.M and 2:00-5:00 P.M.
6. A
complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by
interested bidders at the address below at 8 and upon payment of a
non-refundable fee of Ethiopian Birr 200 only. The method of payment
will be in Cash or cashiers check. No liability will be accepted for
loss or late delivery.
7. Bids
must be delivered to the address below at 8 at or before 2:00 P.M.
on 1 Monday June, 2009. All bids must be accompanied by a bid
security of Ethiopian Birr 70,000 in a certified check or bank
guarantee. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the
presence of the bidders/representatives who choose to attend at the
address below at 8 at 2:30 P.M on 1 Monday June, 2009.
