IFB Title-Kumato Small Works Contract-Civil Works and E&M
Supply and Installation
National Competitive Bidding (NCB)
1. The
SNNP Regional Water Resources Development Bureau through the
Government of Ethiopia has received credit and grant from the
International Development Association toward the cost of the Water
Supply and Sanitation Project and it intends to apply part of funds
to cover eligible payments under the Contract for Kumato Small Works
Contract-Civil and E&M Supply and Installation.
2. The
SNNP Regional Water Resources Development Bureau now invites sealed
bids from local or international eligible bidders for the
construction of Kumato Small Works Contract-Civil Work and E&M
Supply and Installation Project in Dara Woreda of Sidama Zone in the
region.
3. The
project in short comprises, Construction of 4(four) valve chambers,
construction of 1 (one) Reservoir of 50 M3 capacity, Construction of
5(five) Water points, 5.2 km Pipe line construction, Construction of
3(three) Anchor blocks, supply and installation of 1 (one) generator
and 1 (one) submersible pump, 1 (one) generator house construction
and other appurtenant works for Kumato Water Supply Project.
4. Bidding
will be conducted through a NATIONAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING (NCB)
procedure specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement
under IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible source
countries as defined in the Guidelines.
5. Bids
shall be valid for a period of Ninety (90) days after Bid opening.
6. Bids
must be accompanied by bid security of 45,000.00 Birr in the form of
bank guarantee or CPO and shall remain valid for 120 (One Hundred
Twenty) days. Insurance bond is not acceptable.
7. Bidders
must obtain registration for category GC6 or WC6 and above with
valid license for the current year.
8. Qualification
requirement include:1/ owner ship and or existing lease of relevant
equipment and machinery 2/ experience in water works construction.3/
total turn over of a least 1.2 times the value of this bid for the
last three years. 4/ availability of relevant experienced personnel
as provided in the bidding document with others additional details.
9. A
complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by interested
bidders on the submission of a written application and copies of
necessary renewed licenses with originals form SNNP Regional Water
Resources Development Bureau, Procurement Department, Room Number
05, Hawassa City, Tel. 046-221 2469, at or before 2:00 P.M. on 30th
day of announcement of this invitation for bids notice on the
Ethiopian national news paper upon payment of a non-refundable fee
of Birr 300.00.
10. Bids
must be delivered to the SNNP Regional Water Resources Development
Bureau, Procurement Department, Room number 05, Hawassa City, Tel.
046-221 24 69, at or before 2:00 P.M. on 30th day of announcement of
this invitation for bid notice on the Ethiopian national newspaper.
11. Electronic
bidding will not be permitted.
12. Late
bids will be rejected.
13. Bids
will be opened in the presence of the bidders/ their presence of the
bidders/ their representatives who choose to attend in person at
2:00 P.M. on 30th day of this announcement on national newspaper at
the library of SNNP Regional Water Resources Development Bureau,
Hawassa city. If there will be public holiday on this date, the same
time and the same venue.
14. The
SNNP Regional Water Resources Bureau reserves the right to reject
all or part of the bid.
