The Ethiopian
Electric Power Corporation (EEPCO) (hereinafter referred to as the
Corporation) issues this notice of invitation to bid:
Project
Name: Koka-Dire Dawa 230
kV Power Transmission Project
(Contract KDD-1)
Scope of
Work:
The project
consists of design, manufacture, test, supply to site of erection
including sea and inland transportation, port clearances and
insurance from warehouse to warehouse, civil work construction,
erection, test and commissioning of the following:
Extension of the existing Koka 230 kV
substation by two (2) 230 kV line bays with 230 kV, 15 MVAr shunt
reactors and neutral compensating reactos on each line and extension
of the 230 kv one half bus bar system.
Extending the existing Awash 7-Kilo
substation by two (2) 230 kV line bays, two (2) 230/132 kV 125 MVA
autotransformer bays, a double 230 kV bus bar.
One (1) complete 230/132/33/15kV
substation at Hurso with two (2) 230/132kV 125 MVA autotransformer
bays, six (6) 230kV line bays four of them with 230 kV, 10 and 15
MVAR shunt reactors plus neutral compensating reactors, 230kV double
bus bar system with a 230 kV bus bar coupler bay, one 132/33/15kV,
50/25/25MVA ONAN/ONAF, 3-winding power transformer bay, two (2)
132kV outgoing line bays, 132kV single bus bar system, 33kV GIS and
15 kV AIS switchgears.
Testing and commissioning of RTU,
Communication system, end-to-end test with LDC, configuration and
updating of date base at LDC for all substations included under this
contract.
Only bidders,
who have designed, manufactured, erected and commissioned at 230kv
transmission voltage level or above will be considered qualified.
The project finance (foreign currency portion) shall be made
available by the bidder as a soft loan or Buyer’s Credit form its
respective government and/or financing institutions. A technically
qualified bid with attractive financing scheme and commercial offer
shall be selected for contract negotiation and award. The bid
document in soft copy (CD) can be collected against a non-refundable
payment of Ethiopian Birr 1,000.00 (One Thousand) Ethiopian Birr).
