Section I: Invitation for Bids
1. Oromia
Health Bureau obtained a budget from the Regional Government would
like to procure, contraceptives for Health Institution towards the
cost of Health Sector Development Program. It is intended that part
of the Proceeds of this budget will be applied to eligible payments
under the contract for the procurement of Drugs for Health
Institution in Local Competitive Bid.
2. The
Oromia Health Bureau now invites wax-sealed bids from eligible
bidders for the supply of Drugs for Health Institution.
3. Bidders
have No option to bid for anyone or more type (s) of items (s). Bids
will be evaluated and contract(s) will be awarded for item (s)
taking into account discounts offered, if any, for combined Item (s)
in determining the least evaluated bid of item (s) which will be the
bases for award of the contract (s).
4. Bidders
should have renewed trade license for 2001 E.C., Suppliers list
registration certificate from Ministry of Finance & Economic
Development, VAT, TIN registration certificate & other supporting
letter/s concerning whether they have paid the taxations for
Government and have to bring these requirements while purchasing
this tender document and when submitting their offer also. Those
bidders who are participating for the Contraceptives they should
have submit the permission (Registration) certificate from the Drug
Administration Control Authority of Ethiopia (DACA).
5. Interested

6. A
complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested
bidders on submission of a written application to the
above-mentioned office and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of
Birr 50.00 (Birr Fifty only).
7. Bids
must be delivered to office of Procurement Service, Oromia Health
Bureau on or before 3:00 P.M. in the afternoon on date 17/9/2001 or
25/05/2009 E.C and must be accompanied by a security of no less than
1% of the Bid Amount freely convertible in the form of CPO or
Unconditional Bank Guarantee from a reputable Bank.
8. Bids
will be opened in the presence of bidder’s or their representatives
(Those who have a written representative’s from their organization
to participate on the bid opening ceremony) who choose to attend at
3:30 P.M. in the afternoon on 17/9/2001 or 25/5/2009 E.C. at the
office of Procurement Service, Oromia Health Bureau, Room No.39
Finfinnee, Ethiopia.
9. The
Bureau reserves the right to reject or accept partially or fully.
