TechnoServe
(TINS) is a non political, not for profit, nonsectarian
international NGO that helps entrepreneurial men and women in poor
areas of the developing world to build businesses that create
income, opportunity and economic growth for their families, their
communities and their counties. Currently, TNS is implementing
coffee initiative program in Ethiopia to help small scale farmers to
boost their income improving the quality of their coffee.
In additional to
its Addis Ababa central office, TNS Ethiopia has regional office at
Jimma to coordinate its activities at the surrounding woredas and
around Kaffa and Illubabor zones. Generally, it operates within the
radious of 150 km or 3 hours drive around Jimma.
TNS Ethiopia
invites interested bidders to submit their bid documents to
lease/rent vehicles to be used at Addis Ababa, Jimma and different
project areas specified above.
1. Interested
bidders are required to fulfill the following to be eligible for the
bid:
a.
Valid VAT registration certificate. The registration should
be for car hire business.
b.
Valid TIN number tax certificate.
c.
Ownership Title Certificate for at least 10
Toyota land Crusiers.
d.
All vehicles with code 3 registered plate number.
e.
Comprehensive insurance coverage for all vehicles.
f.
Willing to lease vehicle with or without drivers.
2. Eligible
bidders can purchase a complete set of bid document for a
non-refundable Birr 20 from TNS Finance Unit.
3. The
bidder shall furnish a bid security bond in the amount of Birr
50,000 in the form of certified check (CPO) in the name of
TechnoServe Inc-Ethiopia.
4. Bids
must be delivered to the address below on or before 10 working days
from the publication on this newspaper. Late bids will be rejected.
Bid will be closed on 4:30 P.M.
5. Bids
will be opened in the presence of bidders’ or representatives who
choose to attend in person at 10:30 A.M. on May 20, 2009 at the TNS
office address listed below.
6. TNS
Ethiopia reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in
whole or in part thereof and is not around to give reasons.
