IFB Title Communal Toilets
Name of project: Urban Local Government Development Project (ULGDP)

1. This
invitation for bid follows the general procurement notice for this
project that appeared in Development business; issue WB2837-732/08
on July 16, 2008.
2. The
Harari People National Regional State has received credit
from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the
cost of decentralized service delivery project, and it intends to
apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payment under contract
of the procurement of Communal Toilets.
3. The
Harari People National
Regional State, Harar municipality
invites wax-sealed bids from eligible
bidders of GC/BC-7 and above with license valid for the year
2002E.C. for the provision of Communal toilets at Amir nur, abadi,
Keladamba and Shenkor Kebels.
4. Bidding
will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB)
procedures specified in the World Bank guideline. Procurement under
Ida credits is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.
5. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information form The Harari
People National Regional State Harar Municipality and inspect
the bidding documents at the address given below at Harar
Municipality ULGDP Coordinating Office, P.O. Box 46, Tel. 025 666 00 18 or 025
666 00 02, Fax 025 666 37 07, E-mail: Harar
munic@ethionet.et Harar, Ethiopia, Monday to Friday during
Office hours (8:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon, 2:30 p.m. -5:00 p.m. local
time).
6. A
complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by
interested bidders on submission of written application at the
address above and upon payment of a non-refundable of Ethiopian Birr
200. The method of payment will be in the form of cash
starting from November 09, 2009.
7. Bids
must be delivered to the address below on or before 9:00 a.m. and
Friday December 11, 2009 and must be accompanied by a bid security
of not les than 10,000 ET Birr in the form of CPO, an unconditional
guarantee issued by a bank or surety, an irrevocable letter of
credit and a cashier’s or certified check. Bid security should be
submitted in a separate sealed envelope. Late bids shall be
rejected.
8. Bids
will be opened in the presence of the bidders/ representatives who
choose to attend at the address below at 9:30 a.m. Friday December
11, 2009.
