1. The
Jimma City Administration has funds from IDA and own budge to
be used for procurement of “Construction of 9km
Jimma City Gravel Road Project”
and will apply the fund
for the construction.
2. The
Jimma City Administration invites sealed bids from eligible
bidders for the provision of Construction of Jimma City Gravel Road
project. The City Administration will sign agreement with the
successful bidder for the construction of the 2.87 km road in the
current fiscal year. However, the bid prices offered by the bidder
will be used for signing agreement for the construction of the whole
length of road to be constructed in the current year.
3. Bidding
will be conducted in accordance with the open national tendering
procedures in the public procurement proclamation of the
Government of the Federal Democratic of Ethiopia and is open to
all bidders from eligible source countries.
4. To
be eligible for bidding of this project, the contractor must be duly
registered as much with the Ministry of WUD/MOWR Ethiopia, in
Category GC/RC class 3 and above with the license valid for the
year 2001 E.C.
5. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information form Jimma City
Municipal Infrastructure Department and inspect the bidding
documents at the address given below at 9(a) at 8:30 a.m. to 5:30
p.m. from Monday to Friday.
6. A
complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested
bidders at the address below at 9(b) and upon payment of a
non-refundable fee of Ethiopian 500 (Five Hundred) as November 9,
2009 GC. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.
7. Bids
shall be valid for 90 days after bid opening and must be accompanied
by a security of Ethiopian Birr 100,000. Late bids shall be
rejected. Bids must be delivered on or before 12:00 midday 30
November 2009 GC.
8. Bids
will be opened in the presence of the bidders representatives who
choose to attend to the address below at 9(c) at or before 2:00 p.m.
December 9, 2009 GC.
