1. The
Ethiopian Airports Enterprise (EAE) has funds within Employer’s
budget to be used for the construction of Jimma Airport Passenger Terminal
Building and ancillary works.
2. Ethiopian
Airports Enterprise invites sealed bids from all registered
contractors of category GC-1 or BC-1 and having.
Trade license and construction
service certificates valid for 2002 Ethiopian Calendar year.
VAT Registration certificate and to
submit wax-sealed bids for providing the necessary labor, materials
and any other necessary requirements for the execution and
completion of the works.

4. Each
prospective bidder proposing to bid for this project must be
eligible fulfilling the requirements of the particular instruction
of the project.
5. A
complete set of bidding documents may be purchased yb any interested
eligible bidder on the submission of a written application to the
above address and payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 3,000.00
(Three Thousand Birr only).
6. All
bids must be accompanied by a bid security of Birr 100,000.00 (One
Hundred Thousand Birr only). The bid security shall be Payable on
demand to the employer, and must be an irrevocable Letter of Credit,
or Bank Guarantee, or a Certified Payment Order (CPO) at the bidders

a.m. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.
7. Bids
will be opened in the presence of bidders or bidder’s
representatives who choose to attend at the EAE Conference Room on
December 10, 2009 at 10:15 a.m.
8. The
construction of the work shall be completed within 690 Calendar days
from commencement of works.
9. All
bids must include 15% VAT (Value Added Tax) on the summery of price
quotation.
10. Bidders
are instructed to fill, sign and seal all the forms of the bid
documents. Failure to fulfill this instruction may result in
automatic rejection.
11. The
employer reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive
informalities, to advertise for new bids or to proceed and do the
work otherwise as may be for its best interest.
