Water Supply and Sanitation Project
Credit 3901-ET and Grant H085-ET
IFB Title-Morsito Small Works Contract-Civil Works and
E&M Supply and Installation
National Competitive Bidding (NCB)
1. The
SNNP Regional Water Resources Development Bureau through the
Government of Ethiopia has received credit and grant from the
International Development Association toward the cost of the water
Supply and Sanitation Project and it intends to apply part of funds
to cover eligible payments under the Contract for Morsito Small
Works Contract-Civil and E&M Supply and Installation.
2. The
SNNP Regional Water Resources Development Bureau now invites sealed
bids from local or international eligible bidders for the
construction of Morsito Small Works Contract- Civil Work and
E&M Supply and Installation Project in Misha Woreda of
Hadiya Zone in the region.
3. The
project in short comprises, Construction of 9 (Nine) valve chambers,
construction of 2 (Two) Reservoir of 50 M3 capacity,
Distribution including retaining wall, Construction of 4 M3
Collection chamber Masonry wet well 1 (One) , Construction of
7 (Seven) Water points, Construction of Generator house in HCB 1
(One) Supply and appurtenant works for Morsito Water Supply
Project.
4. Bidding
well be conducted through a NATIONAL COMPETETIVE BIDDING (NCB)
procedure specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement
under IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible source
countries as defined in the Guidelines.
5. Bids
shall be valid for a period of Ninety (90) days after Bid opening.
6. Bids
must be accompanied by bid security of 45,000.00 Birr in the form of
bank guarantee or CPO and shall remain valid for 120 (One Hundred
Twenty) days. Insurance bond is not acceptable.
7. Bidders
must obtain registration for category GC 6 or WC6 and above with
valid license for the current year.
8. Qualification
requirement include: 1/owner ship and/ or existing lease of relevant
equipment and machinery 2/ experience in water works construction.
3/ availability of relevant experienced personnel as provided in the
bidding document with others additional details.
9. A
complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by interested
bidders on the submission of a written application and copies of
necessary renewed licenses with originals from SNNP Regional Water
Resources Development Bureau, Procurement Department, Room number

notice on the Ethiopian National news paper upon payment of a
non-refundable fee of Birr 300.00
10. Bids
must be delivered to the SNNP Regional Water Resources Development
Bureau, Procurement Department, Room Number 05, Hawassa City, Tel.
046-221 24 69, at or before 2:00 p.m. on 30th day of
announcement of this invitation for bids notice on the Ethiopian
National news paper.
11. Electronic
bidding will to be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.
12. Bids
will be opened in the presence of the bidders/ their representatives
who choose to attend in person at 2:30 p.m. on 30th day
of this announcement on national news paper at the Tender Committee
Office of SNNP Regional Water Resources Development Bureau, hawassa
City. If there will be public holiday on this date, the closing and
opening of the bid will take place on the next working day at the
same time and the same venue.
13. The
SNNP Regional Water Resources Bureau reserves the right to reject
all or part of the bid.
