GTZ SUN Energy is the energy
component of the GTZ Sustainable Land Management (SLM) program,
which is jointly implemented by the deustsche Gesellschaft fur
technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) and the Ministry of Agriculture and
Rural Development (MoARD) under a bilateral cooperation agreement,
invites eligible bidders to participate in the bid for construction
of signboard frame (skeleton) and erecting in 50 towns of Oromia
Region.
Since 1998, the GTZ SUN Energy
Promotes Household energy efficiency for protection of natural
resources and to minimize the adverse effect on the environment by
promoting improved stoves like Mirt injera baking stove and Tikikil
cooking stove which reduces the fuel consumption by 50% and 60%
respectively. Recently the project in collaboration with Ethiopian
Alternative Energy Development and Promotion Center (EAEDPC)of the
Ministry of Mines and Energy has developed Institutional Rocket
Stove (IRS) which designed to serve institution like prisons,
hospitals, colleges, hotels etc and also modify the Tikikil stove
which is designed to serve households for cooking (for non-baking)
practices. The new improved stoves reduce the fuel consumption by
70% and 60% respectively.
In addition to this biomass saving
and the consequent reduction of household expenditure on fuel wood,
the stoves also reduce exposure to smoke and excessive heat thereby
considerably decreasing the health hazards caused by kitchen indoor
air pollution.
In order to further improve the
promotional effort of the project intervention, the GTZ SUN Energy
intends to erect 50 signboard in 50 towns of Oromia region, that
advertise the Mirt, Tikikil & Institutional Rocket stove. Therefore,
interested companies with the relevant qualification and experience
are invited to participate on the bid.
Bidders shall collect the ToR
prepared from the Energy Coordination Office (ECO)
Sealed bids shall be delivered to GTZ
Addis before November 18, 2009
Bidders shall provide both financial
technical and time span aspects on their document
Record and references are
advantageous
GTZ-SUN Energy reserves the right to
