The Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage
Authority (A.A.W.S.A) desirous of carrying out a project,
“Construction of Office Building for Megenanga Branch” with its own
fund
1. Eligibility
of Bidders
Bidders should fulfill the following
requirements
1.1 Construction
firms should be BC or GC of grade 6 or above
1.2 Renewed
license & VAT registration certificate should be presented.
1.3 The
bidders should not have any legal cases due to failure
1.4 The
Bidders should briefly describe about the firm
1.5 Previous
experiences in related project works should be presented
1.6 The
type and quantity of equipment to be deployed for the work should be
presented
1.7 The
firm’s organizational structure, qualification and related
experience of the staff to be assigned for the project shall be
shown clearly.
1.8 Work
schedule shall be presented
2. Bid
Bond
A bid bond without which the tender
will become invalid shall accompany each bidder.
The amount of the bid security shall
be ETB 10,000.00 (Ten Thousand) in the form of Bank Guarantee of
Insurance Guarantee.
3. Closing
and Opening of Bids
Closing date of the bid is on
Thursday December 17, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Opening of bids will be held at the
office of the Employer on Thursday December 17, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. local time. Bidders are invited to attend the opening of tenders in
person or they can send their legal representatives if they choose.
4. Payment
for Documents
Bidders may collect the bidding
documents on a non-refundable fee of 100 Eth. Birr from the AAWSA’S

address.
5. Bid
Validity
This bid shall be valid for 90
(Ninety) calendar days after the opening of the bid.
6. Failure
to fulfill any of the above requirements (1 to 5) will lead to
Automatic rejection Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority has the
right to accept or reject any or all of the bids.
