National Competitive Bidding
To: All contractors of category BC/
GC-6 and above with renewed license valid for the year 2002 E.C.
1. The
Government of Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a
credit from the International Development Association (IDA) in the
amount of U$ 150 million equivalent towards the cost of the Urban
Local Government Development Project (ULGDP).
2. The
specific development objectives of ULGDP is to support improved
performance in the planning, delivery and sustained provision of
priority municipal services and infrastructure by urban local
governments. Under component 1 of the ULGDP, the City Administration
of Gondar intends to carry out a project on construction of 15
public Toilets.
3. The
City Administration of Gondar City invites eligible bidders for the
construction of 15 public toilets. Bidders should be registered as
the contractors and VAT with Ministry of Finance and Economic
Development.
4. A
complete set of bidding document and detail information can be
obtained from City Administration Service Office hours upon payment
of Birr 200 (Two hundred Birr) starting from the announcement date
with The Ethiopian Herald Newspaper.
5. Bidders
at the level of BC-06/GC-6 and above are required to submit the
copies of their renewed construction licenses to the office where
they will collect bid document.
6. Bidders
shall furnish as part of their bid, a id bond in amount of Birr
20,000 (Twenty Thousand Birr) the bid bond must be in CPO (Cash
Payment Order) from recognized bank.
7. Bidders
should be submit their documents in wax-sealed envelope both
original and copy clearly marked in box to the City Administration
Finance and Economic Development Office on 2:00 p.m. on the end of
30 calendar days.
8. Bid
documents will be opened in the presence of bidders or
representatives at 2:30 p.m. on the last date of announcement at Gondar City Administration finance
and Economic Development Office.
9. The
City Administration reserves the right to accept or reject all or
part of the bid. Bidders shall be valid for a period of 90 days
after a bid opened.
