1. Geological
Survey of Ethiopia invites sealed bids from interested eligible
bidders for the purchase of Argon and Nitrogen Gas for use in its
Geosciences Laboratory center.
2. The
bid document shall be obtained from our procurement office Room No.
214 against payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 20 during office
hours upon presentation of Registration Certificate from the Federal
Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, clearance from Inland
revenue Administration, renewed trade license for he current year
and Vat registration certificate.
3. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information at the office of the
Survey’s procurement office Room No. 213, P.O. Box 2302, Addis
Ababa, Ethiopia, Tel. 011 646 44 71, Fax 251 11/646 33 26.

The bid must be accompanied by a bid bond of Birr 3000 in the
form of Bank Guarantee or Cashier’s payment order (CPO)
5.
Bids shall be submitted in two separate envelopes:
1. Technical envelope 2. Financial
envelope each having one original and one copy.
6. All
eligibility certificates cited in No. 2 should be found in the
original technical envelope, and are placed in the tender box on or
before the final bid submission date.
7. Bids
must be deposited in the tender box prepared for this purpose on or
before 10:00 a.m. local time on December 29,
2009.
8. Bids
will be opened on the same date at 10:15 a.m. local time in the
presence of bidders and/or their official representatives.
9. Geological
Survey of Ethiopia reserves the right to accept or reject and or all
bids.
