1. This
Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this
Project that appeared in Development Business, issue on 16 October
2009.
2. The
Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) has
received funding from World Bank and Multi –Donors towards the cost
of Food Security Program, for procurement of motor cycles/ bikes for
program (PSNP) APL III.
3. Ministry
of Agriculture and Rural Development (MoARD)-Food Security
Coordination Directorate (FSCD) of Disaster Risk Management & Food
Security Sector (DRMFSS) of now invites sealed bids from eligible
and qualified bidders for the Procurement of the following Goods.

4. Bidding
will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding
(ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines:
Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all
bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.
5. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the
Bidding Documents at the address given below from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30
p.m. of official working days.
6. A
complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by
interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the
address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ETB 100.00
or in equivalent in Euro or USD. The method of payment will be in
cash or CPO. The Bidding Documents will be sent by courier services
for overseas bidder if it is accompanied with prepaid bill for the
service.
7. Bid
must be delivered to the address below at or before
January 15, 2010 at 3:00 p.m.
Electronic bidding will not be
permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the
presence of the bidders/ representatives who choose to attend in
person at the address below January 15, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security or an equivalent amount
in a freely convertible currency.
