National Competitive Bidding
To all contractors of category
BC/GC-4 and above with renewed license valid for the year 2001 E.C.
1. The
Oromia Agriculture Research Institute (OARI) has secured a budget
from the regional government of Oromia to be used for the
procurement of works for construction of office and laboratory
building at Gugi Zone Bore Town and Kelama Wollaga Zone Haro Sebu Town.
2. The
OARI now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders who are
interested and capable to allocate sufficient resource for the
construction of office and laboratory building to be constructed
with 250 calendar days. Bidders shall have registered with Ministry
of Works and Urban Development and who have renewed their license
for the year 2001 Ethiopian calendars and who have VAT & TIN
registration certificate.
3. Bidding
will be conducted in accordance with the open national tendering
procedures contained in the public procurement proclamation of the
national regional state of Oromia and is open to all eligible
bidders.
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from OARI and
inspect the bidding document at the address given below at 8(a)
during office hours.
5. A
complete set of bidding document in English may be purchased by
interested bidders at the address indicated below at 8(a) and upon
payment of a non-refundable fee of Ethiopian birr 600 (Six Hundred
Birr) only.
6. Bid
must e delivered to the address below at 8(a) at or before December
22, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. All bids must be accompanied by 1% of the bid amount bid security in
the form of certified payment order (CPO) or Bank guarantee
established through authorized Bank in
Ethiopia. Late Bids shall be
rejected.
7.
Opening of bid
a. The
technical qualification document will be opened on December 22, 2009
at 10:30 a.m. in the presence of bidders or their legal
representatives who wish to attend.
b. The
financial offer document shall remain sealed and deposited in box
prepared for this purpose in the presence of any authorized party by
the client, until all submitted financial documents are opened
publicly.
c. The
technically qualified bidders financial offer document opening date
& time will be announced by our bureau after completion of
qualification document evaluation.
8. Address
