1. The
Ethiopian Airports Enterprise invites eligible consultants, to
participate in the bid to perform the design and propose a complete
modification of the New Passanger Terminal Interior refurbishment
work, Acoustics, Air conditioning, Basement Spaces Improvement and
design a connection Bridge between Terminals 1 and 2 of the Addis
Ababa Bole International Airport. Local agent of bidders is
requested to submit VAT registration certificate from Ministry of
Finance and Economic Development for which they are registered on
suppliers list.
2. Bidders
should be technically and financially capable to execute the said
service as it should be completed in a reasonably short period of
time. Bidders shall provide their detailed and feasible work
schedules and approach of the work to meet the required targets,
along with a schematic design and their company profile.
3. A
complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by interested
bidders from Ethiopian Airports Enterprise, Finance Service (Head
Office) and Casher office near Gerji customs office upon payment of
a non-refundable fee of Birr 500 (Five Hundred Birr) or USD 40.00
(USD Forty) or equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
The method of payment will be cash or cashier cheque.
4. The
bidding document will be sent by Courier for overseas bidders who
send a crossed Bank Draft of Birr 300.00 or USD 25.00 or an
equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency in addition to
the price of the document mention above (3) to the address given
below. However, Ethiopian Airports Enterprise will not take any
responsibility for a late/ non delivery of the bidding document sent
by Courier. No extension in bid submission date is permitted in this
account.

6.
Wax-sealed envelopes containing an original and a copy of
Offer and Qualification documents along with a bid security of USD
2,000 or equivalent in Ethiopian Birr, in a form of Bank Guarantee
should be delivered to the same office on or before January 14, 2009
up to 10:00 a.m. and opened on the same date at 10:30 a.m. Late bids
will be rejected.
7. The
Offer envelopes shall be submitted as follows:
7.1 The
original and copy of the Offer document shall b e sealed in separate
envelopes and marked “Original Offer Document” and “Copy of Offer
Document” respectively.
7.2 The
Bid Security shall be sealed in a separate envelope marked “Bid
Security”
7.3 The
envelopes in 7.1 and 7.2 shall then be sealed in an outer envelope
marked “Offer Document”
8. The
Qualification envelopes shall be submitted as follows:
The original and copy of the
Qualification document shall be sealed in separate envelopes and
marked “Original Qualification Document” and “Copy of Qualification
Document” respectively.

9. Qualification
envelopes of Bidders shall be opened in the presence of bidder’s
representatives who chooses to attend at the Ethiopian Airports
Enterprise head office.
10. Only
Offer Envelopes of these bidders who pass the Minimum requirement as
per the qualification criteria shall be opened in the presence of
bidders/ representatives right after evaluation of qualification
document is completed
11. The
Ethiopian Airports Enterprise reserves the right to reject any or
all bids.
