Construction of Chiro Town Water
Supply
Immediate Service Improvement (ISI)
Project
Credit No. 3901 ET, Grant No. H850 ET
1. Chiro
Town Water Board in Oromia National Regional State through the
Government of Ethiopia has received a Credit/Loan form the World
Bank towards the cost of Water Supply and Sanitation Project and
intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Credit/Loan to
payments under the Contract for Construction of Immediate Service
Improvement (ISI) for Chiro Town Water Supply and Sanitation
Project.
2. The
Town Water Board now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for
the Construction of Chiro Town Water Supply Immediate Service
Improvement project for:
Supply and laying of 1,124m DN100
PN10 uPVC pipes and fittings for the distribution network including
GS fittings.
Supply and laying of 3,250m OD64 PN16
HDPE pipes and fittings for the distribution network.
Connection of the newly laid pipes
with the existing distribution system at 10 points.
Construction of one water point.
3. Bidding
will be conducted thorough the National competitive bidding
procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement
under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and are open to all bidders from
eligible source countries as defined in the guidelines.
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from Chiro Town
Water Supply and Sewerage Enterprise and inspect the bidding
documents at the address given below.
5. A
complete set of bidding documents in English Language may be
purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written
application to the address below and upon payment of a
non-refundable fee of Birr 300.00.
6. Bids
must be delivered to the address below at or before 2:00 P.M.
November 27, 2009 and all bid must be accompanied by a bid security
of not less than 1% of the bid price. Late bids will be rejected.
Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders/ representatives
who choose to attend at the address below at 2:00 P.M. November 27,
2009.
