IFB Title – Yirgachefe Town Construction of immediate
Service Improvement Plant National Competitive
1. The
SNNP regional state Yirgachefe Town Water Board through the
Government of Ethiopia has received grant from the international
Development Association toward the cost of the water supply and
sanitation project and it intends to apply part of funds to cover
eligible payments under the contract for Yirgachefe-civil works and
supply and Installation.
2. The
SNNP Regional State Yirgachefe Water Board now invites sealed bids
from eligible bidders for the construction of Yirgachefe-civil works
and E&M supply and installation project in Yirgachefe Town of Gedeo
Zone in the region.
3. CIVIL-WORK
for Yirgachefe Town water supply project.
4. Bidding
will be conducted a NATIONAL COMPETETIVE BIDDING (NCB) procedure
specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: procurement under IDA
credit, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as
defined in the Guidelines.
5.
Bids shall be valid for a period of Ninety (90) days after
Bid opening.
6. Bid
must be accompanied by bid security of 45,000.00 Birr in the form of
bank guarantee or CPO and shall remain valid for 90 (Ninety days).
Insurance bond is not acceptable.
7. Bidders
must obtain registration for category GC6 or WC6 and above with
valid license for current year.
8. Qualification
requirement include; 1/Owner ship and /or existing lease of relevant
equipment and machinery 2/Experience in water works construction 3/
availability of relevant experienced personnel as provide in the
bidding document with others additional details.
9. A
complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested
bidders on the submission of written application and copies of
necessary renewed license with original from SNNP Regional state
Yirgachefe water supply services room number 04 Yirgachefe town,
Tel. 046-332 02 89/557 at or before 2:00 p.m. on 30th
days of announcement of this invitation for bids notice on the
Ethiopian National newspaper up on payment of a non-refundable fee
of Birr 300.00
10. Bid
must be delivered to the SNNP Regional State Yirgachefe water supply
services Room number 04 Yirachefe town Tel. 046 332 02 89/557 at or
before 2:00 p.m. on 30th day of announcement of this invitation for bid
notice on the Ethiopian national newspaper.
11. Electronic
bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.
12. Bids
will be opened in the presence of the bidders/ their representatives
who choose attend in person at 2:30 p.m. on 30th day of
this announcement on national newspaper at the SNNP Regional state
water supply services, Yirgachefe town. If their will be public
holiday on this date, the closing and opening of the bid will take
place on the next working day at the same time and the same venue.
13. The
SNNP Regional state Yirgachefe town Water Board reserves the right
to reject all or part of the bid.
