IFB Title –Kura Small Works Contract-Civil Works and E&M
Supply and Installation
National Competitive Bidding (NCB)
1. The
SNNP Regional Water Resources Bureau through the Government of
Ethiopia has received credit and grant and grant from the
International Development Association toward the cost of the Water
Supply and sanitation Project and it intends to apply part of funds
to cover eligible payments under the Contract-for Kura Small Works
Contract-Civil and E&M Supply and installation.
2. The
SNNP Regional Water Resources Bureau now invites sealed bids from
local or international eligible bidders for the construction of Kura
Small Works Contract-Civil Works and E&M Supply and Installation
Project in Shay Bench Woreda of Benchi Jaji Zone in the region.
3. The
project in short comprises, Construction of 1 (one) valve chambers
for reservoir & 4 Valve chambers in net work, 50m3 Masonry Reservoir
Construction of 7 (seven) Water points, supply and installation of
Pipes and fittings, supply and installation of generator and pump,
Construction of generator house and one cattle trough and other
appurtenant works for Kura Water Supply Project.
4. Bidding
will be conducted through a NATIONAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING (NCB)
procedure specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement
under IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible source
countries as defined in the Guidelines.
5. Bids
shall be valid for a period of Ninety (90) days after Bid opening.
6. Bids
must be accompanied by bid security of 25,000.00 Birr in the from
bank guarantee or CPO and shall remain valid for 120 (One Hundred
Twenty) days. Insurance bond is not acceptable.
7. Bidders
must obtain registration for category GC 6 or WC6 and above with
valid license for the current year.
8. Qualification
requirements include: 1/owner ship and/ or existing lease of
relevant equipment and machinery 2/ experience in water works
construction. 3/availability of relevant experienced personnel as
provided in the bidding document with others additional details.
9. A
complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by interested
bidders on the submission of a written application and copies of
necessary renewed licenses with originals from SNNP Regional Water
Resources Bureau, P/F/P/Ad/S/ process, Room Number 05, Hawassa City,
Telephone Number 046 220 99 74, at or before 2:00 P.M. on 30th day
of announcement of this invitation for bids notice on The Ethiopian
National Newspaper upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr
300.00.
10. Bids
must be delivered to the SNNP Regional Water Resources Bureau,
Procurement Department, Room Number 05, Hawassa City, Telephone
Number 046 220 99 74, at or before 2:00 P.M. on 30th day of
announcement of this invitation for bid notice on The Ethiopian
National Newspaper. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late
bids will be rejected.
11. Bids
will be opened in the presence of the bidder/their representatives
who choose to attend in person at 2:30 P.M. on 30th day
of this announcement on the Ethiopian Herald newspaper at the Tender
Committee office of SNNP Regional Water Resources Bureau, Hawassa
city. If there will be public holiday on this working day at the
same time and same venue.
12. The
SNNP Regional Water Resources Bureau reserves the right to reject
all or part of the bid.
