1.
The government of Ethiopia has entered into south Doblin
country-Ethiopian partnership agreement from the south Doblin
country council, Ireland, for sister cities partnership of south
Doblin country and Butajira. Finance is secures for the purchase of
GS and Upvc pipes and fittings all sized from 2” to 6” for the
R2-to-Network scheme connection of butajiira town water supply
scheme project and it is intended to apply part of the funds to
cover eligible payments under the contract for procurement of un
plasticized polyvinyl chloride ( Upvc) pipes and fittings for
Butajira town R2-to-Network connection project.
2. Butajira
Town Finance & Economic Development Office now invites sealed bids
from eligible and qualified suppliers. Bidders must bid for supply
of the whole package of pipes, fittings and other pipe
appurtenances.
3. Bidding
will be conducted though national competitive bidding (NCB)
procedures specified in the world banks Guidelines and are open to
all bidders from eligible source countries.
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information from the address
given below and inspect the bidding documents at that address from
8:30 am to 12:30 pm & from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm Monday
to Thursday and from 8:30am to 11:30 pm & from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm on
Friday.

To be qualified for the award of contact, suppliers should
have delivered three contracts of a similar type and quantity in the
last three years; additional details are provided in the bidding
documents.

A complete set of bidding documents in English may be
purchased directly from Butajira town Finance and economic
development office Number 02 upon payment of a non-refundable fee
250 by interested bidders on submission of a written application to
the address indicated below.
7. Bids
must be delivered to Butajira town finance and economic development
office, room Number 02, P.O. Box 35[Butajira], at or before 10:00 am
on April 7, 2010. Electronic bidding will not be permitted .Late
bids will be rejected.
8. Bids
will be opened in the presence of the bidders or representatives who
choose to attend in person at
10:30 am on the same date, at
Butajira town finance and economic development office, room Number
02, P.O. Box 35, Butajira.
9. Bids
shall be valid for a period of ninety (90) days after bid opening
and must accompanied by bid security not less than 2% of bid cost.
