Section I: Extension of Invitation
for Bids
To all
contractors of category GC-5/R-5/BC-5 and above with license valid
for the Current Fiscal year.
The Mekelle City
Design and Construction Office have allocated a budget for the cost
of Construction Work of Drainage rehabilitation Project (Closed Pipe
Culvert) on Quiha area stretching form Quiha Hospital to Mulu
Metasebya Hotel.
1. The
Mekelle City Design and Construction Office invites qualified
contractors of stared category with relevant experience and valid
license for the current fiscal year to submit wax-sealed tenders for
the construction of Drainage Rehabilitation Project (Closed Pipe
Culvert) an Quiha area stretching form Quiha Hospital to Mulue
Metasebya Hotel.
2. The
work on offer mainly consists of the following components:
a) Construction
of RC Closed pipes and masonry manhole.
b)
Construction of walkway.
3. Bidders
must have a valid for 2002 E.C. Registration Certificate from
Ministry of Works and Urban Development or Registration certificate
form Regional Urban Development and Construction Bureau, renewed
trade license valid for 2002 E.C. as well as must be registered for
VAT.
4. Interested
eligible bidders may obtain further information form and inspect the
bidding documents at the office of.

5. A
complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased against payment
of a non-refundable fee of Birr 200 from Mekelle City Design and
Construction Office.
6. The
tender must be accompanied by a Tender Security in an amount of not
less than 1% the bid amount in the form of a certified cheque, bank
draft, letter of credit or bank guarantee from a reputable bank in
Ethiopia in the form provided in the Tender Documents.
7. Tenders
must be delivered to the address given above on or before April 8,
2010 at 11:30 A.M.
8. Tenders
will be opened in the presence of those bidders/representatives who
choose to attend at the Conference Hall of Mekelle City Design and
Construction Office at April 8, 2010 at 2:30 P.M.
9. Tenders
shall be valid for a period of ninety (90) days after tender
opening.
10. Mekelle
City Design and Construction Office reserves the right to reject any
or all bids.
