 IFB Title: procurement of tent for grain storage (rub hall or equivalent)

1.      This invitation for bid follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in development business, issue No. 4602112 of 16 October 2009.

2.      The government of the federal Democratic republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) has received funding from international development association (IDA) and multi-Donors towards the cost of productive safety net (APL III)  project ,and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the contract for the procurement of tent for grain storage (Rub hall or equivalent).

3.      The ministry  of agriculture and rural development (MoARD) food security coordination directorate (FSCD) OF Disaster risk management &food security sector (DRMFSS) now invites sealed bids from  eligible and qualified bidders for the procurement of 35 units of tent for grain storage (rub hall or equivalent).

4.      Bidding will be conducted though the international competitive bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: procurement under IBRD loans and IDA credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in guidelines.

5.      Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 8:30am. To 5:30pm.offcial working days.

6.      Qualifications requirements include:

a.      Suppliers shall furnish audited financial statements are required for the last 3 years.

b.      Suppliers shall furnish that they have performed at least two similar contracts of similar size and nature during the last 2 t o 3 years.

7.       A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment  of a non-refundable fee of 100(one hundred) Ethiopian birr or with freely convertible currency. The method of payment will be in cash or CPO.the bidding document will sent by courier services for overseas bidder, if it is accompanied with prepaid bill for the services.

8.      Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 20 April 2010 at 3:00 pm. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. bids will  be opened in the presence of the bidders or on-line at the address below 20 April 2010 at 3:30pm. all bids must be accompanied by a bid security of ETB 180,000 (one hundred eight thousand Ethiopian birr or an equivalent amount in freely convertible currency.
