Re Bid Tender Notice
Invitation for Bids/IFB/IDS Credit No. 4456-ET Procurement No. ULGDP/CW/08

1.      The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received a credit from the International Development Association towards the cost of the Urban Local Government Development project /ULGDP/ part of which is provided to Dire Dawa City Administration. The city administration intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the contract for the project of procurement of 12 solid waste containers for which this invitation for bids is issue.

2.      The Dire Dawa Administration Sanitation and Beautification Agency now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the project of procurement of 12 solid waste containers, bidding  will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding /NCB/ procedures specified in the World bank’s guidelines, procurement under IBRD loans and IDA credits and opens to all bidders form eligible source Countries as defined in the guidelines., Domestic suppliers of the solid waste containers with license valid for the  year 2010/2011 are eligible to participate in the bid.

3.      A complete set of bidding documents can be purchased from Dire Dawa Sanitation and Beautification Agency during working hours after or before 14 working days of announcement of this notice on The Ethiopian Herald upon payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 300 or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency. Interested bidders  can purchase additional sets or may obtain further information at the same address of:

4.      Bids shall be delivered to the above office on/or before 10:00 am hours after or before 14 working days of announcement of this notice on the Ethiopian Herald  and shall be accompanied by a bid security of not less than 1% of bid amount in the form of CPO only bank guarantee.

5.      Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 days after bid opening.

6.      Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders or representatives who wish to attend at the Dire Dawa Administration Sanitation and Beatification Agency conference hall at 10:30 am hours on the 14th last day of this announcement.

7.      The Dire Dawa City Administration reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and whole bid process.
