There is a
consensus among historians and botanists that coffee especially the
genus 'Coffee-Arabica' is indigenous to Ethiopia where it continues to
grow wild in the regions of Keffa, Illubabor, Bale and Gamogofa and it
is acknowledged that all our exportable types of coffee are Arabica
species.
All Ethiopian Arabica coffees are processed in two methods known as
the wet method and dry method. And, AWDA as its base line of business,
has engaged in both methods of coffee preparation in 'Yirgacheffe'
area, which is the center of the famous coffee variety in the world.
We generally
export all types of sun-dried (Natural) and Washed Ethiopian Arabica
coffee. However, due to the fact that we own pulping and hulling
facilities at the farm-gate in Yirgacheffe, we are specialized in the
export of top quality washed 'Yirgacheffe' & 'Sidamo' grade 2 and
Sun-dried 'Sidamo' grade 4. |
